Progress not Perfection
I am a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor, and I earned a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The King’s University in 2021. Before starting my counseling career, I was a high school science teacher for 16 years, where I gained much of my experience in working with adolescents, teens, and their families. I have worked in an in-patient setting, with families to help them face the complex traumas caused by addiction in the family system while building the necessary communication skills to navigate towards long term positive change.
I worked with a wide range of concerns including, but not limited to:
• Anxiety/Panic Attacks
• Trauma/Abuse
• Destructive Relationships/Divorce
• Parenting/Co-Parenting
• Pre-Marital/Marriage/Blended Families/Adoption
• Codependency/Addiction
• Depression/Self-Harm
• ADD/ADHD/School Concerns
• Communication Skills/Values/Needs
Clients have described me as warm and collaborative. I’ll ask tough questions as we dive deep to help you reprocess pain and restructure problematic patterns in your heart, mind, body, spirit, environment, and relationships. I don’t believe in a “cookie cutter approach” and will respect your unique journey to craft a customized, solution-oriented approach based on evidence-based practices to address your needs and incorporate your values, culture, worldview, and faith. I will use creative therapeutic experiences, to set goals, engage your strengths, become resilient, pursue transformative healing, and celebrate growth along the way. I am grateful to have the opportunity to come alongside you and help you navigate through life’s difficult seasons and transitions in a way that promotes authentic awareness, health, and healing.
